Summertime

Well, I had a million other projects to work on before I touched tonight's session. But I was too excited! The daughter of one of my best friends, this little girl is amazingly beautiful and sweet. The light was so nice. Beautiful light and a 3 year old and with such a sweet spirit....it was what I needed to be inspired again. Check out future posts with her baby sister!

Katie and Derek are gettin' married!

I am so happy for my friend Katie. We met each other while waiting tables in that twenty- something transitional part of life. We have seen each other go up and down and sideways. She is one of the funniest and most endearing people I know and I am so happy that she has found someone that thinks she's amazing too. Congratulations Katie and Derek! I can't wait to see you get married this August. xoxo

Sweet Cheeks!

Look at this cutie! The last time I saw him was at Christmas time....way too long by the way. I cant believe how much he has grown! We had a great time in the park with mom and dad (mom is one of my old co-workers). We braved the heat to get these images. It was well worth the sweat. If you're having a bad day just look at this smile. Babies have a way of putting life into perspective.

Growning up in a conservative Christian home and then off to a conservative Christian college, I have seen my fair share of ministers. I have seen the good and the bad....and some would say, the ugly. I have met those that are amazingly self-centered and those that are truly Christ-like. I had the honor photographing the 50th anniversary of Minister Moxley whose service in the Presbyterian church has spanned from the civil rights era until today. These are only two images from an evening where I shot about 500...but they convey the genuine and caring heart of what a minister should be. In a world of bad news in the church it is refreshing to see a minister like this. He is one of the good ones:)

Melissa and Jeff 3-30-10

What a beautiful day! Melissa and Jeff were married at COSI on Memorial Day weekend. The weather was a little warm, but when the ceremony started everything was perfect! From the dress to the flowers and then ending the night with sparklers, the clear May day ended up lovely in every way. Thanks Jeff and Melissa for allowing Jon and I to be a part of such a special day.

I first saw Heather in a Madlab Theatre Roulette and she was one of those actors that stood out from the rest. You know what I meet....not that the other actors were poor performers but Heather had that certain quality that shined. Two years later, I had the pleasure of being able to photograph her new headshots. Heather, I hope they bring you much success!
